Our Why

Being a teenage girl today is more challenging than ever. The weight of academic, social, and personal expectations can feel overwhelming.

Almost 50% of young women report experiencing mental health challenges, yet too often, their voices go unheard.

Based on the findings from the Liptember Foundation 2025 Women’s Mental Health Report:

  • 60%

of mental health challenges faced by teenage girls are triggered by low self-esteem or confidence

  • 64%

of teenage girls between 14 - 19 struggle with body image issues.

  • 44%

of teenage girls are affected by anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder.

  • 45%

of teenage girls are experiencing depression.

  • 25%

of teenage girls experience significantly high rates of suicide and self-harm.

(An increase from 16% in 2024)

We believe in a future where teenage girls are seen, heard, and valued.

Where they have the tools, confidence, and support to navigate their journey with resilience and strength.

We exist to amplify their voices, not just in the moments they feel strong, but in the moments they doubt themselves. Through our evidence-based programs, we create space for girls to explore their identity, build healthy relationships, and strengthen their character, because we know that when a girl feels empowered, she can change the world.

But we also know that transformation doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why we work with parents, educators, and communities, equipping them with the knowledge and resources to uplift and support the teenage girls in their lives. By listening to the real experts, the girls themselves, we ensure our approach is youth-informed, evidence-based, and deeply impactful.

We’re not just another program. We’re a movement.

A commitment to shifting perspectives, breaking cycles, and fostering a generation of empowered young women who will lead the way forward.
